Bagby Family: Silas is ONE!

Our baby boy turned ONE on August 18, 2012! That had to be the fastest year ever!! It seems that it went by faster than Isaac's first year but that could have had a lot to do with our situation (Abe in Seminary and working two jobs all while trying to learn how to be parents).

Party time! We had a Look Whoo's One (owl) theme and my friend Amy helped me make some cute little owl decorations. The party was at 11:00 so we had a breakfast casserole, fruit, fried chicken, pasta salad, ham biscuits and of course owl cup cakes. Pretty laid back and simple with some family and a couple close friends.

One year check up: Silas has always been on the small side in weight, ok he's REALLY skinny! He weighed in at 17 pounds 8 ounces (maybe 3% on the charts), 29.5 inches in height (50% on the charts) and his head measured to be 45.5 cm (25% on charts). He is a healthy boy though! His doctor was only concerned about his weight at 9 months when his weight dropped (not moving at a stagnant rate) on the charts from 6 to 9 months, so we had to go back at 10 months for a weight check, he was supposed to nurse and then drink formula after every feeding which he did not do (we could not get him to drink formula). At his 10 month he had gained about a pound which was outstanding to his doctor, with out formula remember! God is good!
