On Saturday we went to Kentucky Down Under for Warren County days. We got a great deal of $5 per person and 4 and under were FREE!! The regular price is $22. I was very excited about that! We went with a good friend and met some other friends there. There were so many neat things there. We saw a peacock running free, which Isaac loved. He actually ran after it and said he was going to ride on his back! We saw many different birds and one big cage where we were able to go in and feed them. The birds attack you immediately to get the food, it was really funny because they like landing on your head. Then we were able to pet some Kangaroos and learn some interesting facts about them. The next stop was the sheep. Isaac was able to several things here. But first we watched a sheep dog (collie) herd the sheep to the fence so the kids could see them and then through two cones. This was particularly interesting to me, it was so neat how one dog can do that and the technique that he used. We then went into the barn to learn about the sheering of the sheep. They let the kids go to the field and herd a bunch a lamb in the barn, it was super cute!! Our friend Alexi was able to feed one a bottle. They brought a cow in next and Isaac was able to milk a cow!! I haven't even done that! Our next adventure was going to be a cave tour but we ran out of time and had to get back to Bowling Green for a wedding shower, so before we left we had a picnic on the grass with our packed lunches. We all had so much fun and thought it was worth our $5!
The pictures are out of order but like I said I am still learning!
How fun! I haven't been to Kentucky Down Under for years! $5 is definitely a good price compared to $22. Wow! Looks like you all had fun.:]
